From its supremely comfortable carry system and versatile access options to fully customisable internal and external organisation, the Peak Design Outdoor Backpack 45L uses a host of innovative features that work exactly as they should, so you can spend more time enjoying nature and less time wrestling with your gear. Fully compatible with a wide range of Peak Design organisers*, letting you tailor protection and organisation to any combination of clothing, supplies, camping gear, sports equipment or camera gear – from a single camera and lens to a complete professional kit.

The unique, versatile and low-profile carry system offers maximum comfort for the widest range of body types. Running-vest-inspired shoulder straps take the load off your shoulders and arms and spread it evenly over more of your body. Two stretch mesh pockets provide ideal storage for small items you want quick access to (such as a phone or soft flask), and they also hide mounting points for the Capture Camera Clip*. The removable, easily stowable and fully adjustable padded hip belt provides comfortable load distribution, extra storage (one zip pocket and one stash pocket) and further Capture Clip* mounting points. This backpack is highly abrasion-resistant and functionally waterproof thanks to Terra Shell™ 210D ripstop nylon, which is 100% recycled, Bluesign-approved and treated with both a PFAS-free water-repellent finish and an internal PU coating. The optional Rain Fly* provides full waterproof protection.

The Peak Design Outdoor Backpack 45L offers two ways in – a top entry with patented Ultra Cinch™ closure and a magnetic roll-top for easy packing and unpacking. The top entry gives quick access to the main compartment and the additional front Flex Pocket and offers up to 10 L of extra volume. A large back access panel makes packing easy and provides ideal access – for camera gear and more – using Peak Design Camera Cubes*, which can be secured inside the backpack. 5 large external Flex Pockets™ give easy access to large items (water bottles, trekking poles, jackets, tripods) while always keeping a clean, tidy look. External Cord Hook™ straps and elastic Gear Loops offer endless options for attaching gear to the outside of the backpack, while the Cord Rails™ provide attachment points on every side. You can even attach Ultralight Packing Cubes* for modular external storage. Fair Trade certified.
